Need community service credit? Want to make new friends? Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join our NEW teen advisory group (TAG)! Join Teen Librarian Jenn Fowler at our first meetings to discuss ideas for upcoming teen library programs, what events and items you would like to see at the library and much more! In the Library's Teen Corner during the month of November teens in grades 7-12 voted for their favorite books! The most popular book was Stephenie Meyer's Twilight with 9 votes!

Candy Corn Contest Winner!


Congratulations to Daniel C. for winning our Candy Corn Guess Contest! Daniel had the closest guess (753) to the actual number (796) of candies that filled the jar in the Teen Corner at the Library! Daniel is pictured here with his twin, Alex whom he promises to share his winnings!

Teens & Tweens Volunteer: Project Pillow

Teens & Tweens Volunteer: Project Pillow
On August 25th West Islip teens and tweens got together and made tie pillows to be donated to Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room. These pillows will be given to bring comfort to children in the hospital. We had over 40 volunteers who made 100 pillows!
