Enrichment Program: Lego Building

4:00 – 5:00 PM
An hour for teens with special needs to gather together, have fun and build some awesome Lego creations! First time participants must be accompanied by a parent.

Teen Volunteer Planting

11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
Teens are encouraged to volunteer and join us to plant flowers on the library grounds. A fun time with your friends and earn community service credit! Sign up at the Adult Reference Desk.

WIIT Council Meetings

Now is a great time to join the West Islip Involved Teens Council! We need your help and it’s a great way to make new friends! Open to grades 7-12. Community service is awarded.

Then consider being part of this summer’s
Battle of the Books!
The Battle of the Books is a countywide competition of young adults representing participating Suffolk County public libraries. The competition will take place on Saturday, August 13th at Stony Brook University. Teams will answer trivia questions based on eight different books and score points for their team with each correct answer. If you are interested in taking part, you must entering grades 6-9, able to attend weekly meetings and be ready for a summer of fun!

REGENTS REVIEW CLASSES
The purpose of theses classes will be to help students review for and study for the NYS Regents Exams. Course topics will be covered through review sheets and practice questions. Students will receive review materials and handouts.

Teens & Tweens Volunteer: Project Pillow

Teens & Tweens Volunteer: Project Pillow
On August 25th West Islip teens and tweens got together and made tie pillows to be donated to Good Samaritan Hospital emergency room. These pillows will be given to bring comfort to children in the hospital. We had over 40 volunteers who made 100 pillows!
